sometimes i miss my old interior design job. ok, a lot of times. it would have it’s moments with things going wrong on the jobsite, difficult clients, or a custom sectional that arrives backwards to how the room is supposed to be laid out (i do not deny this *may* have happened to me)….but in the end when you came in to the house on installation day and saw the light in your client’s eyes and the space transformed by something you put together, it felt like christmas. every time.

something i really loved was tile. yes, there are a lot of intricacies and construction details that take place that can be tedious, but in raw form, as well as once installed, tile can be breathtaking.

i was lucky enough to work with some people that allowed for some hefty spending and it spoiled me enough that someday when wil and i buy and/or build houses in the future, i will have a hard time not wanting to blow the budget on tile.

ann sacks is a favorite tile designer, and her prices are so out of the water that even our high end clients in nashville didn’t use her designs. but i admired samples and images from afar, and i knew since we just live in a little rental with one bathroom (that has mauve and purple shell decals on the tub walls) that her collections would be my go to for some inspiration.

i have no idea what my dream bathroom will some day look like…there are too many fabulous choices. but i do know it will consist of some great tile. what’s your favorite design?

all images are from and copyright of ann sacks’ installation web gallery….just posting them on here to inspire you all!
