popping in

stopping in to say hello! we had a great time at our families homes…it’s nice having our parents within 30 minutes of one another, but that means lots of driving back and forth each day to even out the time spent. dinner here, dessert here….very full to say the least.

that doesn’t mean i didn’t have thanksgiving leftovers for dinner tonight, though! they are sometimes as good as the first time around.

i’m a big proponent of not doing anything christmasy till after thanksgiving. it’s too special of a time to get passed up, just as autumn is too gorgeous of a season to skip over to winter. but our drive back over the mountain this morning, amidst new snow, helped usher into a feeling of the holiday spirit, and i happily turned on some christmas music while packing boxes. i maybe even sipped some hot chocolate and started perusing layouts for our christmas card this year…

the next week or so will be a bit of a craze for us as we fill all of our spare time with packing, taking trips to the next apartment, being disconnected, etc. i’ll miss you all if you don’t see too much of me, but i trust you all have a fun first week of december ahead of you!
